What's Happening

Regularly-Scheduled Events

  • Small Groups: Sunday, 9:30 AM
Traditionally called "Sunday School", these are studies on the Bible or Biblical topics (like "what does the Bible say about ...") led by church members. They are called "Small Groups" because the number of people in the studies are typically small, about 20 max. Because of their size, they are a great way to connect with people in the church.

  • Sunday Service: Sunday, 10:45 AM
The "main event" as most people think of churches. This is singing, prayer, and a sermon by the pastor. With the songs, we try to use both the old hymns and contemporary music. After the service, the people often hang around and talk.

  • Movie Watch: Sunday, 6 PM
On Sunday evenings, we started watching the video series The Chosen. It is an amazing dramatization of the Gospels, showing the lives of the Disciples and Jesus. While dramatized, the writers have done an excellent job of not deviating from what is in the Bible. Yet, at the same time, showing us plausible scenes that give the story of Jesus and the Disciples depth and heart.

Once we finish the latest season of the Chosen, we typically begin watching various other Christian movies. When the next season of The Chosen becomes available, we switch to watching that again. Then, when we're done with that season, we go back to watching Christian movies or some other Christian series.

  • Breakfast Snack Ministry: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 8:30 AM
We are handing out breakfast snacks to anyone who wants them on school day mornings. On warm days, we are out near the road with a table. On cold days, we are indoors with signs outside, directing people to come inside.

We originally intended to hand out these snacks to hungry school children as they walked to school. But we quickly realized that adults walking to work wanted them too. So, now we give the snacks out to whomever stops by, even if they are driving!

    Two snacks per person, BTW!

  • Mid-Week Pre-Study Fellowship: Wednesday, 6 PM
Usually, we have a snack before our Bible study. However, on the 2nd Wednesday of every month, we eat a meal before the Bible Study . The snacks and meals are prepared by our church members.

  • Mid-Week Bible Study: Wednesday, 6:30 PM
This is a pastor-led Bible study. Pastor Dale has a list of study questions that he asks of the group as they read through the scripture passage. Questions from the group are encouraged!

Currently, we are going through a study on the parts of the gospels of Mark, Luke, and John that are not covered in Matthew — since we completed a study of Matthew.

  • Game Night: Friday, 7 PM - 9:30 PM
Join us as we play games (board games, card games, dice games, puzzles, etc.), eat snacks, chat, and enjoy the company of each other!

  • Men's Breakfast: 3rd Saturday of every month, 8 AM
The men of the church meet for breakfast once a month. We eat and talk, then have a short devotion after the meal. Often, men from other churches in town join us. You are welcome to join us too!
